Hornady Transportation Selects IDSC TripAlert for Total Visibility of Assets
Monday, June 1, 2009
With 350 power units, Hornady Transportation, LLC, is a recognized family-owned, flatbed carrier. The company is based in Monroeville, Alabama. Hornady Transportation specializes in line haul, regional and dedicated services throughout the eastern US. Founded in 1928, the carrier operates two regional terminals in Birmingham, AL and Effingham, IL.
TMW Systems, Inc., welcomes Hornady Transportation, LLC., as a new customer using IDSC TripAlert, leading fuel optimization software. Engineered to work seamlessly with legacy systems and technology infrastructures, IDSC TripAlert will interface with the company's existing technology-which includes TruckMate enterprise transportation software.
IDSC TripAlert provides total visibility of assets and best-in-class exception and event management-it also increases driver time-at-home without impacting profit potential. IDSC TripAlert automatically identifies the locations and times when two power units will be feasible to swap load assignments. The software recognizes swap opportunities which improve utilization and on-time performance. And, IDSC TripAlert provides built-in capabilities to identify candidates for in-transit swaps-leveraging the data to maximize driver and equipment utilization, prevent service failures, and increase driver time at home.
In 2007, TMW acquired Integrated Decision Support Corporation (IDSC) and their decision support software offerings including IDSC Netwise, IDSC MatchAdvice and IDSC ExpertFuel. For more information on IDSC product offerings, please contact Matt Page (216) 831-6606 x2833.
